In the spring of 2003 Jagerdobes finally settled upon another spectacular pedigree when a pick puppy sired by the incredible producer Ch.Gemstone’s Cold Cash Datelis became available. This black male puppy from Niklby Dobermans would be named “Jager”, later the namesake for Jagerdobes. In very short order with major wins from the 6-9 puppy dog class “Jager” soon became Ch. Niklby’s Burden of Proof. With a name like that he set out to “prove” his spot in the Doberman kingdom! In his short special career “Jager” quickly became a group winner, top twenty (DPCA) finalist and one of the top Dobermans in 2006. In that same year, “Jager” passed his WAC (Working Apptitude Certificate) with his friend Jenni Boysen, proving what a solid temperament he possesses. In 2008 we added an additional title, CD (Companion Dog), to round out that ROM (Register of Merit).
As a young “Eddie” grandson “Jager” already has his first champion with many others on the way from a very few select breedings. At the 2007 National a puppy from one of his first litters won her class at both a host club and the National. He is a GREAT cross with Trevor (Ch. Telestar’s Icon)!
In 2005 Jagerdobes produced their first litter, a litter of 9 bundles of joy! They were born on Easter morning and have proved a blessing to everyone involved since that day. “Heidi” had chosen the National/BIS winning “Hunter” (Ch. Cha-Rish Star Quest Blu-J’s) as her first husband and what a great choice that proved to be. From this litter came a BIS (Best In Show) winner, 2 group winners and a lovely dog that is close to his championship. These were the three best puppies in the litter and the only ones sold to show homes. “Heidi’s” most notable get from her “Hunter” cross is certainly “Macci”, (Ch. Jager’s Hot Caramel Machiato). Macci easily attained her championship in very limited showing, including garnering her first major as a young puppy being shown in the BBE ( Bred By-Exhibitor) class. After growing up a bit and with very few appearances in the specials ring “Macci” has already amassed a BIS/AOM at the National along with numerous group 1s! Macci wrapped up a very succesful specials career in 2009 with mulitple groups ones and back to back specialty wins under breeder judges Nancy Heitzman and Linda Krukar. Macci, laid to rest shortly before her 14th birthday.
“Channa” (Can. Ch. Jager’s Chantico Amdre) is “Heidi’s” first Canadian champion and second group winning get. Also from the “Hunter” litter, “Channa” finished her AKC championship the final weekend of shows 2007. All of this owner handled by her wonderful owner Mandy Bondy. If all puppy owners could be this terrific! Christmas night 2006 more than one star entered the sky that night! A small litter of two born to “Heidi” and “Strike” the shining puppy star (Ch. Kaywood’s Clear Nite Mission). While getting ready for the National the young male, heir apparent to Jagerdobes amassed 7 points, BOB and group placements over BIS specials. This shinning young star “Heir” (Ch. Jager’s Supreme Heir”) had learned the ropes well enough to compete with the adults in BBE(Bred By Exhibitor) Black and WIN at the National 2007 and go on to RWD (Reserve Winners Dog) at 9 months of age. Heir finished his championship just over a 1 year of age. Since then he has shown sparingly to many Best of Breeds on his way to numerous group placements. Finishing his 2009 year with a AOM at the Regional in Kentucky.
